About HomeFixGuide
Who writes here
My name is Kkuma Park. I’m an independent writer and developer based in Seoul, South Korea. I’ve spent more than a decade in IT, built a handful of small software products, and along the way accumulated a list of personal experiments, mistakes, and hard-won notes that turned into this blog.
I bought a 25-year-old apartment with every imaginable problem — leaking sink, peeling wallpaper, an oven that gave up in 2010. HomeFixGuide is the running notebook of what I tried, what worked, and what I had to redo twice.
What HomeFixGuide is for
HomeFixGuide is my working notebook on home improvement. Every article here exists because I needed the answer myself at some point and couldn’t find a version I trusted.
I try to follow three rules on this site:
- Write from experience, not summary. If I haven’t actually done it, I won’t pretend I have.
- Show the numbers. Where real data, tests, or costs are useful, I include them.
- Update when I’m wrong. If I learn that an earlier post was inaccurate, I fix the post and add a note.
How I run this blog
- Posts are published on a regular schedule.
- I use AI tools (such as ChatGPT) to help with drafting structure and outlines, but every published post is reviewed, edited, and fact-checked by me before it goes live.
- Affiliate links, when used, are marked. I only link to products I have actually used or would genuinely recommend.
- Ads on this site come from Google AdSense once my site is approved. Ads help keep the site free to read.
